I had the opportunity to go live with Nick Mehta, CEO of Gainsight for NRR TV. Loved our conversation and could have talked for much longer! Big themes: 1. Net Revenue Retention is the single most important metric for SaaS companies. Why: if your customers are delighted, they will stay, continue to expand usage and therefore gain value. Net Revenue Retention measures that. 2. Customer success needs to be a company wide focus. 3. At HubSpot we believe Customer > Company > Team > Self. Solve for the customer and great things happen. I had the pleasure of having a great conversation with Justin Shriber at People.ai. He asked some incredibly insightful questions that made me reflect. My top reflections: Why grit and resilience have been key to my career - As a woman who started my career in engineering and sales, I feel lucky to be raised by a mom who believed I could do anything. Her belief in me was foundational to every moment when I had to choose between giving up or doubling down. My "aha" career moment - early in my career, I was in a sales overlay role hearing from customers day in and day out. I had the opportunity to shift into a sales strategy role and a lightbulb went off - that's where I learned how deep empathy for customers play into scaling GTM. How I align HubSpot's business - I focus on three things: the business strategy, the org strategy, and the people strategy. My priority is to enroll my teams in these strategies so everyone is aligned. Certainly what we think about at HubSpot Give the episode a listen! https://lnkd.in/dYEr3SM

It was fun sharing the long and winding journey of getting Canva off the ground with Guy Raz on 'How I Built This'. It was far from a straight forward journey and often felt like I was running completely against the grain - but I think the challenges along the way made me even more appreciative of the incredible team and community we have today and excited about what we can now build in the future.
