Individually, these are perks companies try to positiom as benefits to make the office *feel* more energizing through “Pet friendly offices”, “focus rooms”, “casual Friday”, “stocked kitchens”, “one WFH days every 2 weeks” But all these factors ***combined*** radically shifts the entire *experience* of work.

Question for the masses! In my previous job hunts, I saw a lot of posting requiring if you will prospective employees be able to multitask. According to most psychology studies, you can’t focus on more than one thing. There is studies that say only 2% of the population can productively/successfully multitask. I believe building a rapport with customers goes way beyond these 3 listed. At the end of the day, your customers have lives and families. I think we tend to forget this very important fact that our common foundation is that we are all human. Rapport is defined as a close harmonious relationship - building a strong relationship with your customer is key. Yes - active listening , empathy and asking questions are all important but this is what we do when our customers have an issue or a complaint. How are we building and retaining the relationship when they don’t have an issue? I use the following: 🌱Follow up ( when I don’t have the answer yet) 🌱Check in 🌱Ask about family / kids 🌱Remember birthdays / special days 🌱Talk to them about their vacation they just got back from. 🌱Wish them well when they are feeling ill This has helped me develop strong lasting relationships with customers and has also helped me to earn their trust.
