After 9+ years at HubSpot, I'm ready for a new challenge. Luckily, I don't have to leave a company I love working for to find it: today, I'm starting in a new role at HubSpot as Director of Executive Communications, Office of the CEO. 🎉 I'll be leading internal & external comms for our amazing CEO, Yamini Rangan. I love Yamini's vision for HubSpot, how she pushes for excellence, and that she's a fierce advocate for diversity. Getting to partner with, and learn from her, is a true privilege. Of course, leaving the small but might Employer Brand & Internal Comms team wasn't an easy choice. Over the past 5+ years, I've been lucky to start, build, and grow the team, working with incredible people. They've taught me loads about everything from management to marketing. While it's bittersweet, I'm excited for the team to continue to grow and innovate more than ever under Ashlee Gerow and Sophie Hamersley's leadership. So, what about my new team? Actually, I won't have one...I'm stepping into this role as an individual contributor and out of people management (for now). When doing some soul-searching, I realized I want to spend some real time focused on my individual impact, developing my own communications skills, and serving HubSpot where I can personally add the most value right now. I feel incredibly lucky that HubSpot not only supports that decision, but actively creates an environment where professional growth can have many different shapes and sizes. There was no stigma or skepticism when I expressed wanting a break from management to focus on my own personal growth. Instead, I received support and encouragement from my manager, team, and coworkers. There are many reasons HubSpot's an award-winning place to work. For me, the investment in employee growth and internal mobility is at the top. After 9+ years, I'm more excited than ever for what's ahead. Let's do this!

I’ve known for a few years now, that one of my personal career goals was to be a CFO. Today I’ve reached that goal - and to be honest much sooner and with a much more impactful company than I could’ve ever imagined. Thank you to our founders Harry Hurst, Josh Mangel, Zain Allarakhia of Pipe for entrusting me with your baby from day zero. Employee #2 is no small feat. It’s been one of the most incredible rides I could have ever hoped for and I’m unbelievably grateful for the opportunity & memories! It’s impossible to name everyone that made this journey possible, but I hope you all know who you are. But that said, I do need to call out a few by name: Georg Bauer - for making me quit my 1st job before it even started w/ Elon to join a startup. Yasmin Moaven - for making sure we both had a seat when no one thought we deserved one yet. Michal Cieplinski - for letting me run, but being there when I needed a true confidant. Charlie Davidmann - for taking the leap, when there wasn’t anything to join yet, but making sure it didn't stay that way for long. And obviously the whole team Pipe - you are the real crusaders. Thank you all & I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come! I'm excited to start my new job!

The thing about building a company from the ground up is having the flexibility and encouragement to create a culture that instills a sense of belonging. When I got started at Swell I was proud to take part in such a skilled and talented team. Each one of us is dedicated to building something unique as far as our technology and culture go. This pride translated to proactivity when it came to ideas and initiatives which led me to consistently nag our COO Stefan Kende. He'd wake up and find several Slack messages from me about training ideas, e-learning content, and culture decks from companies that we admire. Turns out, the squeaky wheel gets the grease —You're looking at Swell's new Director of Culture! I'm using what I've learned throughout the last 8yrs of my career to build our employer brand, produce resources for managers (like leadership training and creative workshops), develop and implement our employee values and handbook, in addition to setting up group activities that reflect our culture of inclusivity, respect and empathy. Being remote-first means building a team so strong that they feel a sense of belonging and connection no matter where in the world they may be. From Australia to Portugal, Brazil to the US and Canada: we can't wait to share more about our growing team. More to come⚡ #remotework #culture

In the past 20 months, I've seen the Product team go from 2 - myself and The Queen of Engagement Charlene Thouard - to some 15 professionals (and counting). During this time we moved office, changed name several times, launched at least 3 new verticals, grew our partnerships and landed in Brazil, all that in the midst of a global pandemic. If there's one thing that hasn't changed at all for this team, that's the willingness of pushing the boundaries of work beyond what is considered conventional while contributing to Swile's biggest project wholeheartedly. It is with this spirit, and in line with my taste for crazy transversal endeavors, that I'm starting a new position as Senior Lead within the Corporate Development team, tasked with fueling Swile's growth through super strategic initiatives. In this capacity, I'm coming back to an IC role (acronym for International Cool & Incredibly Charming), which I enjoy above all things. I am blessed with my company having the maturity to understand that people can continue growing their career and have an impact without directly managing others. I'd like to thank Romain Libeau for the trust he put in me from day 1 and for making me smarter (yes, when you work with very smart people, chances are you become smarter yourself). Super excited to join the talented Corp Dev team under the umbrella of the legendary Gregory Gazagne!
